Construction noise

The noise associated with commercial construction is called construction noise. It is normally temporary and limited to a certain daily time frame as well as by the construction period (weeks, months). However, it is also usually especially loud and disruptive. The assessment of harmful environmental effects of construction noise is conducted in accordance with the general administrative directive on the protection against building noise immission (AVV Baulärm).
LÄRMKONTOR GmbH maintains an extensive database that contains the emission data of the individual building processes. The data combine bibliographical references and our own measurements.

Acoustic assessment of building activities and construction site processes

Foto

LÄRMKONTOR GmbH conducts evaluations with which the anticipated immissions caused by the construction site are analysed and assessed based on the general administrative directive on the protection against building noise immission (AVV Baulärm). This makes it possible to propose noise protection and mitigation measures in advance and to make suggestions regarding the acoustic optimization of construction site activities.

Construction site monitoring

When construction sites close to residential areas are considered particularly critical with regard to noise protection, the construction can be monitored through long term noise level measurements in order to obtain proof of the immission situation during the construction phase. LÄRMKONTOR GmbH also offers consulting on the acoustic optimization of construction site processes in advance and based on measurements.
